FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME
In the Northern Territories of Pakistan, horsemanship and polo have been a part of life for centuries. Each year, the best players from rivalling regions of Chitral and Gilgit meet at Shandur Pass, the world’s highest polo ground, nestled in the Hindi Kush range at an altitude of 12,500ft. As the rivalling teams get ready to compete, Chitral’s captain and most celebrated player Sikander Ul Mulk reflects on his career and what it means to dedicate your life to your passion.
